Keough Mechanical is seeking a Plumbing Estimator/Project Manager to join our team based in Merrillville, Indiana. Job requirements include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
• Prepare proposals, bid forms, and plans to show the impact of the plumbing system and address concerns and issues
• Prepare financial analyses and identify value engineering options for upcoming projects
• Review and interpret project bid documents, ensuring all items are accounted for in bid summary
• Attend pre-bid project site reviews as scheduled/requested
• Communicate effectively to ensure alignment between general contractors, architects, engineers, management, and administrative team
• Manage time efficiently to meet scheduled deadlines amongst multiple, on-going priorities
• Solicit bidding opportunities to general contractors in the local area via telephone
• Assist field superintendents with plumbing/piping estimates, design, drawings, and documentation
• Obtain, generate, compile, and distribute required documentation to general contractors, construction managers and ownership team as required by agreement
• Create, record, track, and support Change Order Requests

Keough Mechanical is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team based in Merrillville, Indiana. This is an early-career position ideal for someone who is organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a team player who takes ownership in his/her work, thinks critically to create solutions, and communicates effectively. You will play a critical role in supporting our estimating and field teams. This position ensures that all aspects of project planning, bidding, and execution are organized, documented, and tracked. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Prior construction experience is helpful but not required. We’re happy to train the right candidate. Job requirements include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
Assist estimators throughout the bidding process, from initial submission to final award.
Coordinate with subcontractors (pipe insulators, excavators, sheet metal, etc.) to secure necessary services for projects.
Manage hard copy and digital project files, including licenses, insurance documents, bid summaries, and scope letters.
Track submitted bids, monitor success rates, and maintain organized records for management review.
Handle change orders, ensuring proper documentation, signatures, and approval for work outside the original scope.
Gather material requirements from estimators or plumbers and solicit bids from suppliers to ensure timely procurement.
Attend internal meetings and site visits as needed to support the estimating team.
Perform general administrative tasks, including scanning, filing, and data entry.
Support the team in meeting deadlines and maintaining accurate project information.
Manage time efficiently to meet scheduled deadlines across multiple ongoing priorities.
Research, source, and purchase tools, materials, and equipment; monitor pricing trends and provide recommendations.
Serve as a central point of contact between estimators, field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
Analyze bid data, costs, and project materials to support informed decision-making.
Demonstrate strong numerical skills and the ability to work accurately with budgets, estimates, and pricing information.
